Week in review

All six of us have been in town this week. It has been a great week of family time and just being able to relax (and work if you are Paul). We have spent every evening swimming at our neighborhood pool this week. I decided all four girls, and even Paul, were probably all some sort of fish or sea creature in a past life. They can't get enough of the water.

Friday at Old Country Village

Daisy is on the move!

Boy how time flies by. It is hard to believe Daisy is 8 1/2 months old. We are really enjoying watching her develop and show more of her own little personality. She is one determined, happy little girl. Two weeks ago she was doing the following:

• Sitting on her own but only if you put her in that position,
• Would roll from her stomach to her back as quick as she could because she wanted nothing to do with being on her stomach,
• Sleeping in her swaddle in her sleep wedge,
• Taking medication for her reflux everyday day, and
• Showing no real signs of wanting to crawl.

Well lets move forward to today:

• Sleeping at night started to get bad so we decided to take her out of her swaddle and sleep wedge.She is now sleeping great in her crib.
• Sitting is fine, for a few seconds, as a way to take a break from getting tired from crawling all over the place,
• Reflux medication - she decided she was done. Every time I gave it to her she would proceed to spit it all back up. We decided to just take her off of it. She knew what she wanted, her relux is gone and she is feeling great.
• She is really enjoying crawling and is trying to pull her self up to standing when ever she can,
• She has also discovered the stairs - she has not climbed up them yet but is very interested and keeps on trying. 

It is crazy what can happen in just a couple weeks.

Wish I had more pictures of her on the move but my pictures keep turning out blurry. I guess it is time to start using our good camera again.

Daisy in the pool

We decided to take Lillian to the pool for a quick swim before bedtime. The pool temp was quite warm so we decided to let Daisy go for a quick dip. She had a great time. I think we have another swimmer on our hands.

Outdoor sprinkler fun

Lillian's first time playing in the sprinkler this summer. Everyone (Frances, Gerrilyn, Lillian and even Lashes) had a great time playing. Maybe next time Daisy will have a chance to play along.

We bought a zoo (just kidding)

I sat down by the glass and the monkey did the same! Lillian loved sitting next to the monkey. She asked if we could take it home in the stroller. We said no.:(

This blue ball was Hansa the baby elephant favorite toy. In memory of Hansa they put it on display.

The African Safari

Real Ostrich eggs. They were huge!!!

Lillian really loved the Wart Hogs. She wanted to join them in the mud but unfortunately there was glass stopping her. Weird huh :)

Lillian decided she wanted to get down. The catch was we are about 5.5 ft off the ground and we are on a log. I almost dropped her (I didn't though).
