Lillian Turns 1

For Lillian's first birthday we headed to the Seattle Aquarium for some quality family time. Here are a few pictures from our adventure. Highlights from our trip included Lillian getting to ride in the backpack for the 1st time, all of us watching the diver feed the fish and for the older girls heading to Red Robin on the waterfront for lunch. All in all a great family day.

First snow of the season

Bound and determined the girls are working hard to get their snowman built.

Ok, enough with the snowman. Frances and Gerrilyn decided they would try to sled in the back yard.

You better not throw that snowball at me! Fortunately holding the camera seemed to keep Frances at bay.

Halloween Day Fun

Halloween morning and still no carved pumpkins at our house. Time to get busy and start carving.



Pumpkins are done. Time to head out for some trick-or-treating fun. Lillian is not quite sure what to think of 'spider girl' and 'groovy girl'. Where did my big sissy's go?


Fist stop...Tina and John's house to wish them a happy anniversary and of course do some trick-or-treating. You can see them hiding in the back of the picture. I guess they were too scared to get to close to the spider.



Trick-or-treating fun is over. Time to look through all the candy. Girls are both tired from doing a lot of walking. Paul gave the girls a math problem to do. If we each ate one piece of candy a day how many days would it take to eat through all the candy. We were all too tired to figure it out today, maybe tomorrow.

Pumpkin Patch Adventure

Everyone is on their own quest for the perfect pumpkin but Paul and Lillian seem to be looking at the corn stalks.


Gerrilyn is having a hard time deciding where to begin.


Frances appears to be on a mission, maybe she has found her pumpkin.


Looks like Paul thinks he has found a good pumpkin but Lillian is having a hard time checking it out.


Having a chance to give it a better close up look Lillian seems to like her and daddys pumpkin.

I guess our adventure has lasted a little bit too long. Looks like Frances has reached the end of her rope. Funny faces from Paul don't seem to work on her like they do on Lillian.

What to do on a rainy day in Kirkland?

...Climb in the bookshelf of course! Last weekend we had our first real wind/rain storm of the season. We stayed in and played.



Once you are done with the bookshelf the next best thing is to pretend you are a dog!

1st Day of 6th Grade

Frances and Gerrilyn and their 1st day of 6th grade (last 1st day of elementary school). I can't believe how grown up they seem.
Grown up but still able to have fun!

1st stop on our way to school. The 6th year of walking to school with Liam and Kennedy. Boy how time flies.


Final stop on our way to school - time to pick up Ian and Kayla.

Modoc, SC - Last Day (day 3)

Lillian is ready to go. Come on daddy lets get this boat moving!



Hanging out on the boat at the beach thinking she is pretty darn cute with her daddy's hat on.



Finally time to go and play at the beach. Lillian thought the beach (and warm water was really fun). She is for sure a water/beach loving little girl.







While Lillian and I are playing on the beach and relaxing Paul is actually working. Thought we should include a picture to show he really does work. In this picutre he is getting some equipment ready to put in the resevoir for a few days. Pretty nice office location I would say.



Time for lunch and then it will be time to head out for our boat ride. More work to be done that does not involve the beach...bummer.
