Backyard fun in the sun!

Today was one of those rare beautiful sunny spring days here in Kirkland. One of Lillian's favorite things to do is to be outside (rain or shine). Today I was able to take a few pictures as we played outside in the backyard while Daisy was inside taking a nap.

Lillian loves to play in the sandbox that we actually built for the dog a few years ago. The two of them have lots of fun digging together.

Lillian trying to dry off the grass so her and I could sit together. After things were dry (at least by a 2 yr old standard) we sat together and decided to try to play with the camera and take our picture. I thought it turned out good enough for the blog post.

I would say the pictures are pretty self explanatory. Lillian was having fun sitting with her big fluffy puppy but then decided it would be much more fun to sit on her big fluffy puppy. Lucky for us Lashes is a great dog when it comes to Lillian.

Last trip down the slide before we headed in for a quick afternoon nap. Wish I could say I had a few minutes of rest but wouldn't you know it, Daisy woke up just as I was finishing getting Lillian down for her nap.

New Years Weekend update

On Thursday Paul, Lillian, Daisy and I decided to go for a hike at St. Edwards Park. The weather in the am was beautiful for our hike. It started to down pour in the afternoon, fortunately we were already home.

We celebrated New Years Eve at our house by taking Daisy in the hot tub (baby temperature) for the first time! She REALLY loved being in the water. It seems to help relieve her relux symptoms. If only we could all sleep in the hot tub!

Lillian Turns 2

It is very hard to believe that our little Lillian is 2 years old. She celebrated her birthday yesterday with a busy day of birthday fun. We started out the day at the Kidsquest Children's Museum in Factoria. It was our first visit and Lillian seemed to have a really good time. We will for sure be going back during this wet and cold winter season. After the museum we headed home for a much needed nap. Then it was present opening time, dinner time and then off to the swimming pool to swim and surprise Lillian's big sisters with a quick little birthday celebration before swim practice.

Every year our eye Dr has Santa come in and take pictures with anyone who is interested. Here is our picture from this year.

Our family headed to Molbak's on Saturday to buy our Christmas tree (yes we realize it is quite late to put one up but remember we have a 4 week old). While we were there we took the opportunity to take some pictures and even ran into Santa again. Daisy was happily sleeping in her stroller, we decided it was more important to let her keep sleeping as opposed to including her in the pictures.

Today we headed to Lakeforest Park Mall to do our annual picture with Santa. This will be our last picture with Santa for the season.

Swimming at the big pool with Daddy

Lillian has always loved the water but recently has really started to enjoy going to the big pool at the gym. Daisy and I come along as often as we can to watch her progress. On this day Daisy was sound a sleep when we got to the gym. I took this picture because I swear her arm gesture was telling me please no don't wake me up to eat.
