Lillian Turns 2

It is very hard to believe that our little Lillian is 2 years old. She celebrated her birthday yesterday with a busy day of birthday fun. We started out the day at the Kidsquest Children's Museum in Factoria. It was our first visit and Lillian seemed to have a really good time. We will for sure be going back during this wet and cold winter season. After the museum we headed home for a much needed nap. Then it was present opening time, dinner time and then off to the swimming pool to swim and surprise Lillian's big sisters with a quick little birthday celebration before swim practice.

Various Holiday Pictures

Every year our eye Dr has Santa come in and take pictures with anyone who is interested. Here is our picture from this year.

Our family headed to Molbak's on Saturday to buy our Christmas tree (yes we realize it is quite late to put one up but remember we have a 4 week old). While we were there we took the opportunity to take some pictures and even ran into Santa again. Daisy was happily sleeping in her stroller, we decided it was more important to let her keep sleeping as opposed to including her in the pictures.

Today we headed to Lakeforest Park Mall to do our annual picture with Santa. This will be our last picture with Santa for the season.

Swimming at the big pool with Daddy

Lillian has always loved the water but recently has really started to enjoy going to the big pool at the gym. Daisy and I come along as often as we can to watch her progress. On this day Daisy was sound a sleep when we got to the gym. I took this picture because I swear her arm gesture was telling me please no don't wake me up to eat.

Hot Tubbing in the Rain

Lillian loves to go swimming in our hot tub (we keep the temp at 99). She really wanted to hot tub last night. Lucky for her she has a dad willing to do crazy things in the wet and cold weather.

Daisy's first few days

Frances, Gerrilyn and Nana Mitzi were Daisy's first visitors. The girls were very excited to meet their new little sister. This is a picture of Frances holding Daisy. The first blog post showed Gerrilyn with Daisy.

Lillian came to meet her new baby sister on Saturday. We had prepared her as much as we could about becoming a big sister but were not sure what she would think. She was so excited to see the 'baby' when she came into the hospital room.

After spending a few minutes looking at her sister, holding her sister and then getting a big hug from her mom she was ready to explore. She sure enjoyed the big window seat in my hospital room.

Sunday we headed home from the hospital. It was nice to get home and spend time with everyone. Daisy was happy to be home.

MY FIRST BATH

Paul and Lillian gave Daisy her fist bath at home. Lillian was excited to be able to help. She is doing great transitioning into being a big sister.

Daisy Annalise was born November 18, 2011 at 1:54 pm. She weighed 5lbs 8 ounces. She is small but a healthy little girl. We are all doing great.
